Subtitle generator for YouTube videos
Make subtitles for a YouTube video in the language it is spoken in. Upload them as a subtitle file in YouTube Studio, or render styled captions into the video itself.
Make YouTube subtitlesStart with a free plan. Free MP4 exports carry a watermark.
SRT and VTT downloads require a paid plan.
SRT example
1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,400 Har word ka apna moment.
VTT example
WEBVTT 00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:02.400 Har word ka apna moment.
Timed text. SRT and VTT downloads are included on paid plans.
Two ways to add subtitles on YouTube
YouTube Studio accepts subtitle files such as SRT and VTT, which viewers switch on with the CC button, and which can be added to an existing upload without re-uploading the video. Burned-in captions are part of the picture instead, and always show. EasyCap makes both, from the same corrected transcript.
How it works
- 1
Transcribe the video
Choose the video file in the editor and its spoken language. EasyCap works from the file on your device, not from a YouTube link.
- 2
Correct the transcript
Check names, numbers and technical words, and keep Hindi in the script your viewers read. Adjust timing where a line appears too early or late.
- 3
Upload to YouTube Studio
On a paid plan, download SRT or VTT and add it in YouTube Studio's subtitles section. Or export an MP4 with captions drawn in and upload that video.
Subtitle files keep the picture clean
A subtitle track leaves the frame untouched for viewers who don't need it, and YouTube shows it at a size that suits the viewer's screen.
Landscape or portrait
Pick 16:9 for a regular YouTube video or 9:16 for a Short before exporting an MP4, so burned-in captions sit where they belong in that frame.
Mind the length
EasyCap is built for short videos and clips. Check the per-video length on your plan; for a longer video, caption the key clips you cut from it.
Find your language and your look
Explore Hindi captions, Hinglish captions, Telugu captions, or browse all supported caption languages. Choose from animated caption templates and check current plans and export options before starting a longer project.
Questions before you start
Can I upload the SRT file to YouTube?
Yes. YouTube Studio accepts SRT and VTT subtitle files. Download them from EasyCap on a paid plan and add them in Studio's subtitles section for the video.
Does EasyCap upload to my channel?
No. EasyCap gives you a file. You upload the subtitle file or the captioned video to YouTube yourself.
Is this better than YouTube's automatic captions?
It is different. You correct every word before publishing, choose the script for Hindi and Hinglish, and can style captions into the video. YouTube's automatic captions are generated and managed on YouTube.
How long can the video be?
EasyCap is designed for short videos and clips, with a per-video length limit that depends on your plan. The pricing page lists the current limits.
