These terms are an agreement between you and [Registered business name] for the use of the Lumiox website and captioning service. By creating an account, buying a plan or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Lumiox.

01. The service

Lumiox transcribes the speech in your videos and turns it into editable, styled captions in Indian languages and English. You can export a captioned MP4 or a subtitle file (SRT or VTT).

Transcripts are created by AI. Accuracy depends on audio quality, accents, background noise and overlapping speakers. Always review your captions before you publish them — you are responsible for the final captions you export and post.

02. Your account

• You must be at least 18, or use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your login secure and tell us straight away if you think it has been used without your permission.
• An account is for one person or business. Do not share, sell or resell access to it.

03. Your content

You keep full ownership of the videos you caption and the captions you create. We claim no rights over them.

You give us a limited permission to process the audio and transcripts you submit, only so we can provide the service to you.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it does not break any law or infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, privacy and publicity rights.

04. Plans, minutes and billing

• The free plan includes a small weekly transcription allowance (2 minutes of audio a week), which resets every week. Exports on the free plan carry a watermark.
• Paid plans include a monthly transcription allowance measured in minutes of audio. Allowances reset at the start of each billing month and unused minutes do not carry over.
• Prices are listed in Indian Rupees on our pricing page. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
• Payments are processed by our payment partners, Cashfree and Razorpay. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically through the payment mandate you approve at checkout, until you cancel.
• One-time purchases, such as watermark removal for a single clip, do not renew.
• We may change our prices. A price change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.

Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

05. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Use the service to harass, impersonate or deceive anyone.
• Copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the service or its caption templates.
• Access the service through bots or automated scripts, except through tools we provide.
• Try to break, overload or get around the security or usage limits of the service.

06. Our intellectual property

The Lumiox software, website, caption styles, templates, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use the caption styles in the videos you export, but you may not copy or redistribute them separately.

07. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

08. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that transcripts will be error-free or that the service will meet every specific requirement you have.

09. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost views or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or has an unresolved chargeback. When an account is closed, its data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date at the top of this page and let account holders know by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try to resolve a dispute with you informally first — please write to us. If it cannot be resolved that way, the courts at [City], India will have exclusive jurisdiction.
