Keep the explanation with the action
A short tutorial asks people to watch the demonstration and read at the same time. Place captions away from the thing you are explaining. Check the spelling of technical words, quantities and names, then let each phrase follow the speaker's pace.
How it works
- 1
Choose the Short you want to caption
Select your video in Lumiox and choose the spoken language. Start with a clear audio track so you have less transcript correction to do.
- 2
Review details and timing
Check terminology, numbers and the first sentence. Adjust caption grouping and position so the text does not cover the action or disappear before it can be read.
- 3
Export for your YouTube upload
Download a captioned MP4, then upload it through your own YouTube workflow. Review the result in YouTube before publishing; Lumiox does not upload or publish your Short.
Make the first sentence understandable
Start with the words the speaker actually says. Keep the opening caption readable without adding unrelated keywords or claims that are absent from the video.
Protect the useful part of the frame
For a cooking step, product demo or screen tutorial, captions should not hide the important detail. Preview on a phone and check the destination's interface rather than relying on fixed safe-area dimensions.
Choose visible captions or a subtitle file
An MP4 keeps your animated captions in the video. Paid plans also offer SRT and VTT for workflows that accept separate subtitle tracks; check your YouTube upload interface for the options available to your video.
Find your language and your look
Explore Hindi captions, Tamil captions, Telugu captions, or browse all supported caption languages. Choose from animated caption templates and check current plans and export options before starting a longer project.
Questions before you start
Does Lumiox generate captions from my Short's audio?
Yes. It transcribes the spoken audio and provides timed words you can edit and style. It does not use a YouTube link as the upload; select your video file in the editor.
Can I use Hindi or Tamil captions on Shorts?
Yes. Choose a supported spoken language and review the transcript and script before exporting. Lumiox includes Hindi, Tamil, Hinglish and other Indian-language workflows.
Are these the same as YouTube's automatic captions?
No. Lumiox renders your chosen caption style into an exported MP4. Any caption track generated or configured by YouTube is managed separately on YouTube.
Will adding captions guarantee more views?
No. Captions help people follow the spoken content, including when sound is off, but they do not guarantee views, recommendations or a particular search position.
